Journal description:

International Journal of Grey Systems (IJGS) is devoted to advancing the theory and practice of Grey System Theory as a novel mathematical approach to soft computing and computational intelligence. The journal is particularly interested in manuscripts that are backed by theory rather than tradition and can lead us to develop a scientifically rigorous body of knowledge on the Grey System Theory. Innovative ideas to manage uncertain systems that have the potential to create a debate are also of interest. Being the first open-access journal on the Grey System Theory, it is hoped to play a decisive role in mainstreaming the Grey System Theory by improving its understanding and global outreach. The journal seeks to foster communications between young and seasoned scholars and between scholars and practitioners with a view to aid data analysts, problem solvers, and decision-makers in handling complex problems objectively.

IJGS is an high-quality journal under the mentorship of top-notch experts of Grey System Theory. It is indexed in several important databases. The journal uses similarity-checking software for plagiarism detection and adheres to the highest ethical standards in academic publishing. Manuscripts are also assessed for potential use of generative AI tools; where such use is identified without proper declaration, authors may be blacklisted. The journal welcomes:

IJGS is a diamond open-access double-blind peer-reviewed journal that does not charge any fee from the authors or readers. The papers are assigned DOIs immediately after acceptance (but are activated once the issue is published). From 2021 to 2025, the journal was published bi-annually (in July and December). From 2026 onwards, it is published annually on a continuous basis, in both print and online versions. 

The journal follows the COPE Guidelines to handle ethical issues. All articles are licensed under Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International.
